Entry to the main Portorož beach is free; you can rent loungers and parasols. The walk down is quick; on the way back it is uphill.

How to get here
By car
Take the A1 motorway to Koper, then the expressway past Izola to Portorož. It is about 120 km from Ljubljana. Parking at the house is free and needs no booking.
By plane
Trieste Airport is 70 km away, about an hour’s drive, and Pula Airport 90 km. The small Portorož airport is 8 km from the house.
By bus
The bus stop and taxis are 500 m from the house. The road to the house climbs the hill, so with luggage a taxi is easier.
